SOCIAL DESIGN / REFLECT
X post designs
Give a fast-moving conversation a recognizable visual: a short announcement, a quotation or a compact takeaway. The landscape canvas works best when the main point remains clear at a glance.
FORMAT WORKFLOW
From purpose to finished artwork.
Choose the takeaway
Reduce the artwork to one statement that can stand on its own. Keep additional context for the post or thread written on the platform.
Keep the image readable
Use a prominent headline and a simple image or shape. Leave space around attribution so it remains separate from the main message.
Pair image and text
Download the design and add your post text in X. Check the uploaded crop and provide useful image description using the platform’s available controls.
CAPABILITIES AND BOUNDARIES
Clear before export.
What you can make
A landscape image for a concise message · Editable quotation and attribution · Simple hierarchy with your own colours · A downloadable file for manual posting
Available files
SVG, PNG, JPEG
What to consider
Reflect does not write or publish an X thread on your behalf. Links, mentions and image descriptions must be added in the platform.
USE IT FOR
Where this format fits.
A short release announcement
An attributed quotation
One takeaway from a longer discussion
FAQ
Before you start.
Can an X image replace the text of a thread?
It can illustrate one takeaway, but the rest of the thread needs to be written and published separately. Avoid hiding essential context only inside an image.
How do I credit a quotation on an X design?
Keep the author’s name readable and verify the wording yourself. Add a source link in the accompanying post when appropriate.
Does the X artwork contain an accessible image description?
The preview has a descriptive label inside Reflect. Add the description to the uploaded image using X’s own accessibility controls before publishing.
Are mentions inside an exported X picture interactive?
No. They are pixels in the image. Use the actual mention or URL field in the post when you want an interactive reference.
